A wedding lawn can be part of a lovely plan in Ayodhya. Before booking it, ask what happens if the function has to move indoors. The useful answer is a named room, a workable layout, agreed costs and a clear decision process.
“There is a hall too” leaves important questions unanswered. Is it reserved for you? Can your ceremony and meal fit in the same space? Will it be ready when guests arrive? Settle those points while you still have time to choose another arrangement.
Reserve an actual alternative space
Ask the venue to identify the precise room available for your function, with its booking window and any other event using it. Confirm in writing whether the alternative is included, held for you or subject to a later availability check.
Park Inn by Radisson Ayodhya’s official wedding page, for example, describes a banquet hall with direct access to a lawn. That connection explains a possible indoor-outdoor arrangement. It does not establish which spaces your booking includes or guarantee an indoor changeover.
Before paying a deposit, ask what happens if the proposed alternative becomes unavailable. A promise to find another space later is different from a room already reserved for your event.
Draw the wedding indoors, not just the chairs
Request a second layout for the actual guest count. Include the ceremony area or stage, seating, dining, buffet queues and the routes people need to use. Ask the venue to confirm the layout rather than applying a headline capacity to every arrangement.
If one room must serve several purposes, discuss the sequence. Will dining begin while the ceremony is still taking place? Does furniture have to move? Where can guests wait during a change? Ask the team to describe that transition step by step.
Our Ayodhya venue guide explains why published seating capacities need layout-specific confirmation. The indoor alternative should accommodate your event, rather than only its decorative backdrop.
Agree what moves and who moves it
Walk through the switch with the venue, decorator and catering team. List the items that can be moved, the items that need an indoor substitute and the work that must happen before guests enter.
- Ceremony and décor: Confirm the indoor location, approved setup and which pieces change. Explain your rituals to the venue; do not assume an outdoor arrangement is permitted unchanged inside.
- Food service: Identify the serving area, kitchen-to-counter route, seating and any revised service timing.
- Guest arrival: Confirm the entrance, drop-off point and route into the room, including assistance someone may need.
- Equipment: Leave weather, installation and operating decisions to the responsible venue and supplier teams. Ask who can pause work or stop an outdoor function if conditions require it.
Ask each team how much preparation time it needs. A room that exists but cannot be ready before the function is not a complete alternative. Keep the revised design with your décor brief.
Name the decision-maker before the day
Choose one family coordinator and an agreed venue contact. Record who assesses conditions, who confirms the switch and when the teams need an answer. Distinguish the planning decision to move indoors from immediate safety instructions, which guests and suppliers should follow without waiting for a family debate.
Check the India Meteorological Department’s current forecasts and warnings as the date approaches. Its site provides local forecast and district warning links. A favourable forecast cannot guarantee your outdoor function; keep the agreed alternative available.
Once a switch is confirmed, send one clear message: the function, revised room or entrance, start time and contact for questions. Update transport and reception teams as well as the family group.
Put the changeover cost in the quote
Ask the proposal to separate any alternative-room charge, extra labour, replacement décor, equipment changes and overtime. Confirm what happens to outdoor services you no longer use, and how an approved change affects the final payable total.
Keep the room confirmation, two layouts, responsibilities, decision process and costs together. You can send this short request:
“Please confirm the indoor alternative reserved for our function, the layout for our guest count, how the setup and service will change, the decision deadline and responsible contacts, and all additional or adjusted charges.”
The goal is to make a change manageable before it is needed. If the venue cannot confirm a workable indoor plan, reconsider the outdoor scope while the booking is still a choice.
